The short version
We collect as little as possible, and what you write in our apps stays with you.
Next Chapter: Balance (iPhone app)
The Next Chapter: Balance app stores everything you write on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to your journal entries, your name, or any personal information. The app has no account system, no analytics, and no third-party services.
Notifications are scheduled locally on your device and can be turned off in the app's Settings at any time. If you enable the app lock, authentication is handled entirely by Apple's Face ID and passcode system; we never see your biometric data.
Deleting the app deletes all data it holds. You can export your journal at any time from Settings within the app.
Free tools on this site
Our interactive tools (such as Stay or Go?) run in your browser and are designed to be discreet: your answers are not saved, stored, or sent anywhere, and they disappear when you close the page.
